Hi my name is Chantelle and I'm addicted to doilies!

I’m never very good at this part. But I’ll try to be brief and not bore you too much with my ‘story’!

I moved to Melbourne at the ripe old age of 18 to study a degree in Glass Blowing. Melbourne quickly became my home in which I met some of the most amazing friends who became more like family. It was through these friends I met my now husband – who by the way is pretty amazing! After my glass blowing degree I completed my diploma of education majoring in Art education. It was a slow start but finally after a few short term contracts I found an ongoing job in a great school as a technology teacher – teaching mainly woodwork to year 10 boys! Having only ever done woodwork in year 8 and making a pretty useless serving tray I was scared – very scared! But after a few years and no major loss of limbs (mine or theirs) I now feel confident to teach the subject and actually enjoy it.

In 2011 I fell pregnant with my first baby and strange enough my closest colleague who I sat next to also fell pregnant at the same time – crazy! So spend the better part of 2011 waddling around the design tech classrooms dreaming of our ‘freedom’ of a year off! January 2012 arrived before we knew it and my life of a stay at home Mumma began. It wasn’t until Early 2013 I decided I needed to do something for me, my family and my sanity. So late one February evening Finn and Fox began and since then I’ve not looked back. It seems to have just snowballed!
